The Scheme’s collection and redistribution of furniture has a direct impact on the amount of
waste going to landfill and is making a positive contribution to improving the areas environment
as well as helping the councils reach their recycling targets.

It will also help Essex County Council reduce its tonnage to landfill (LATs)
and may provide a source of income from Re-Use credits.
|
|
We are also working with local small business electrical retailers to repair and re-use electrical items following the 2007 European WEEE legislation.
