Look after the local community
We provide volunteering opportunities for everyone over the age of 18, whether working, retired, or between jobs. Volunteering at Lighthouse can help build confidence, rebuild self-esteem, is very rewarding and according to our volunteers, fun.
If you want to volunteer with the Lighthouse, then please download and complete our volunteer application pack and return it to us. On receipt we will contact you as soon as possible.

When I retired about 13 years ago, I felt I had more to give and needed to keep busy. Lighthouse offered me the opportunity, it's an amazing charity that helps so many people and it's a lovely feeling to be able to provide essential living items to households that are really in need. lighthouse really cares. When I go home in the evening, I think about all the people I have helped during the day, and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

Having worked in the city for over 40 years and retired some 6 years ago I wanted to do something locally and in my community. It's all about giving back and the Lighthouse Furniture Project is a fantastic way of donating my time.

• Customer telephone enquiries
